As mentioned earlier, QSR franchising is often based around the non-seated restaurant model. This means you don’t have to worry about getting a huge unit to work out of, just make sure its big enough to fit a kitchen, some staff and a tiny bit of room to fit at least a couple of customers in and you’re on your way. This leads to smaller units, which in turn means less rent and business rates, too.

PANDEMIC PREPARATIONS

This is even more beneficial now with the current global ongoings. Unfortunately, due to restrictions not many people will want to be crammed into a small restaurant to get quality food, this is where you come in. Being available to deliver is huge already, the ability to order click and collect is becoming even more important. Creating a situation for your cliental where they can order, collect and enjoy their food with the minimal amount of human contact possible is a vital selling point at this moment in time. Lockdown is an ever-present threat to the food service industry and delivery and click and collect is the perfect counter to it.

EATING HEALTHY

We all need to eat, that much is obvious, so there is always going to be a market for a QSR franchise. As well as this, studies show how people are becoming more health conscious as the education around healthy eating increases. As such, consumers buying habits will start to move towards more healthy options. You’ve also got to consider more dietary requirement and preferences nowadays to ensure you’re not alienating any potential customers. Having gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options on your menu can go a long way with younger, food conscious customers. In short, the healthier the QSR franchise, the increased opportunity of long-term success. It would be foolish to not consider at least providing some healthy alternatives on the menu of your QSR idea, though in the future it is likely the long-standing establishments will be based around healthy eating.
